Travel grant for studies abroad (Förderverein der USTP)

You will receive a one-off grant of 1,000 EUR if you complete part of your degree programme abroad. The funding comes from the Alumni and Friends Association of the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten (USTP) in Austria. This is a merit-based grant, meaning it is awarded for good academic performance. You will receive it for a study period or an internship abroad that counts towards your degree. The association also awards additional funding for international projects throughout the year.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled on a standard degree programme at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten (USTP).
• Where you go: You are undertaking a study period or an internship abroad which counts towards your degree.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Grades: You have strong academic results, because this is a merit grant.

How to apply

Applications are made during the academic year via the USTP International Office. The application deadline is 15 June. The office is responsible for outgoing students and will inform you which documents you need to submit for the current application round.

How realistic are your chances?

Only USTP students who are going abroad as part of their degree programme are eligible to apply. Consequently, the pool of applicants is small and limited to a single university. If you clearly meet these criteria, achieve good grades and apply whilst you are studying abroad, your chances are good. As a fixed number of scholarships are awarded each year, you should apply early and provide evidence of your academic achievements.
