Benefit

For outstanding achievements, you will receive a one-off cash prize of up to 1,500 EUR. The exact amount depends on how many students are awarded the prize in a given year, and starts at around 1,000 EUR. This is a one-off merit award, not a monthly scholarship, and is not means-tested. It is awarded solely for outstanding academic achievement. The award is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and is presented to students at Webster Vienna Private University.

Eligibility

• University: You are enrolled on a full-time degree programme at Webster Vienna Private University.
• Degree level: Both Bachelor’s and Master’s students are eligible to apply.
• Grades: You have a grade point average of at least 3.3 on the American 4.0 scale, which is well above average.
• Credits completed: You have completed at least 24 credit hours at Webster Vienna as a Bachelor’s student or 12 credit hours as a Master’s student.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects taught at Webster Vienna.

How to apply

Applications are submitted via Webster Vienna, which collects its students’ applications each year. The Austrian Federal Ministry makes the final decision on who receives the scholarship.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is granted on a highly selective basis. Only students at Webster Vienna who can demonstrate both a very good grade point average and a sufficient number of credits are eligible to apply, meaning that the pool of potential candidates is small. If you significantly exceed the 3.3 GPA threshold and meet the credit requirements, your chances are good.
