Assistant professor Gerda Mørup-Petersen Family and Study Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a one-off grant of around 1,340 EUR (approximately 10,000 DKK). You may use this amount towards your education, a study trip, moving into your own flat, setting up a business, or to help you through financial difficulties caused by illness or other challenging life circumstances. The exact amount is determined by the board for each individual. The Danish foundation that administers this grant awards around 10 grants to young people each year.

Eligibility

• Who it is for: You are a young person who needs help with your studies, a study trip, setting up your own flat, starting a business or dealing with financial problems.
• Field of study: All subjects can apply.
• Where you study: Every place of study counts, whether in Denmark or abroad.
• Danish ID: You will need a Danish personal identification number (CPR). The grant will be paid into a Danish NemKonto bank account and reported to the Danish tax authority (SKAT).
• Proof of financial need: If you are submitting this application due to financial difficulties, please enclose your household’s most recent SKAT tax assessment.
• Family link (bonus, not required): Direct descendants of the founder’s grandparents are given priority, but anyone else may also apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted by post only. Electronic applications will not be accepted. Please send the signed official application form together with a one-page letter of motivation. You can download the form from the Foundation’s website in the weeks leading up to the application deadline. The application deadline is 31 August each year. If you have not received funding by 23 September, you have not been selected.
