Brahetrolleborg Gensidige Insurance Company's Scholarship

You will receive a one-off grant to help fund your studies, which is usually between 1,000 and 5,000 DKK (about 130 to 670 EUR). The fund pays out a total of 45,000 DKK (approximately 6,000 EUR) annually, divided into smaller instalments. It is therefore more suited to covering specific costs such as books, materials or tuition fees than to funding an entire degree programme. The law firm Ret&Råd Fyn A/S in Odense, Denmark, administers the scholarship on behalf of the mutual insurance company Brahetrolleborg.

Who can apply

• You are in education: You are a child or young person undertaking training. Until now, this has generally referred to teacher training (teacher training college) or secondary education, but other training-related costs may also be taken into account.
• Field of study: All subjects are open.
• Where you study: You are studying in Denmark at any university.
• Local link: You have a connection to the parish of Brahetrolleborg (Brahetrolleborg kirkesogn). Priority will be given to people from this parish and neighbouring parishes. If you do not have a connection to this parish, your application will not be considered.
• A specific cost: You are asking the fund for assistance in covering a specific, documented expense.

How to apply

Download the application form from the Ret&Råd Odense website, complete it and send it, signed, by secure post to the Chair of the Fund. The deadline is 1 November. The grants will be paid out by the end of December.
