Haderslev Katedralskole - Ella and Holger Andersen's Scholarship

Ella and Holger Andersen's Scholarship

You will receive around 40,000 DKK per year (about 5,360 EUR) for 1 years whilst studying a subject in the field of classical languages at a university in Denmark. The money comes from a fund established in the will of the Danish politician Holger Andersen, a former pupil of Haderslev Cathedral School; the school also awards the prize.

Who can apply

• Field of study: You are studying Greek or Latin, Theology, History or Classical Studies (oldtidskundskab).
• What gives you an edge: Your chances are better if you come from Southern Jutland (Sønderjylland) or South Schleswig (Sydslesvig), if your upper-secondary diploma includes Latin and/or Greek, and if you graduated from Haderslev Cathedral School (Haderslev Katedralskole). These count in your favour but are not strict pass-or-fail requirements.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Please complete the application form on the pupil portal and email it, together with your supporting documents, to Haderslev Cathedral School. The application deadline is 1 May 2026.
