About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive travel grant of around 1,340 EUR (scholarships are rarely less than 10,000 DKK) for a study period abroad in the fields of architecture or law. The exact amount depends on the duration and relevance of your stay. The stay may take the form of an exchange programme, an internship, a master’s degree programme such as an LL.M. or MBA, or a summer school. The funding comes from the Margot og Thorvald Dreyers Fond, a Danish foundation that supports the fields of architecture and law and awards approximately 21 million DKK annually.

Who can apply

  • Field of study: You are studying or working in the field of architecture or law. Other fields of study are out of the question.
  • Architecture students: You have completed at least two-thirds of your degree programme and are applying for an exchange programme or an internship abroad lasting at least 3 months.
  • Law graduates: You have completed your Master’s degree (Kandidatgrad) and would like to go abroad to undertake further study, such as an LL.M., an MBA or a summer school course.
  • Where you go: The stay must take place outside Denmark.
  • Timing: Your stay has not yet begun at the time of application, and you can provide evidence that the foreign institution has accepted you.
  • Tax status: You are liable for tax (skattepligtig) in Denmark.
  • Nationality: Applicants of any nationality may apply, provided they meet the above-mentioned tax-related requirement.

How to apply

You apply online through the foundation's application portal. There is no fixed deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you can apply any time. You normally need a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or a professional in your field.
