About this scholarship

Credin's Scholarship

You receive a one-off payment of about 5,000 DKK (around 670 EUR) for further training in the baking and confectionery trades. You can spend it on theoretical or practical courses, a work stay abroad, studies or research, as long as it benefits the baker and pastry-chef professions. The money comes from the Credins Legat og Finansieringsfond, a fund that has supported the baking trade since 1901. It is run by Bager- og Konditormestre i Danmark (BKD), the Danish association of master bakers and confectioners. Payments are made twice a year, in June and December.

Who can apply

  • Your trade: You work in baking or confectionery, for example as a master baker or confectioner, or as a well-recommended journeyman baker or confectioner.
  • Related roles: You can also apply if you are a manager, inspector or head journeyman on a par with a master baker, or if you work in trade administration where training would benefit the profession.
  • Teachers: You teach at a school that trains bakers, confectioners, apprentices or journeymen.
  • What the money is for: Your training, course, work stay abroad or research benefits the baking and confectionery trades.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Fill in the fund's application form and send it to BKD in Copenhagen. There are two deadlines each year: 1 June and 1 December.
