Svendborg Municipality's Educational Scholarship

You will receive a one-off grant from Svendborg Municipality (Svendborg Kommune). The amount varies and is determined on a case-by-case basis. There is no fixed amount. The grant is taxable and is awarded once a year. There are two separate schemes: one for students who live in or near Svendborg and require financial support, and one for young, unmarried men who are going abroad to learn a practical trade.

Who can apply

You meet the requirements for one of the two routes.

• Track 1, local students in need: You live in the municipality of Svendborg or in the former Svendborg district (det tidligere Svendborg Amt), the wider historical region surrounding the town. You are young, on a tight budget, and are just starting a degree or vocational training, or are already undertaking one.
• Track 1, field of study: Every sector counts, including the skilled trades and crafts, agriculture and everything else.
• Track 2, studying abroad: You are a young, unmarried man. You are a Danish national and live in Denmark. You would like to continue your education abroad in a practical or work-related setting, for example as part of a work placement with a company.

How to apply

Apply online using Svendborg Municipality’s self-service form. The deadline is 1 November each year. Applications will be assessed after this date. If you have not received a reply by the end of the year, you have not been selected.
