About this scholarship

Valby Association for Craftsmen and Industry's Educational Foundation grant

You receive a one-time grant of about 4,000 DKK (around 530 EUR) to support higher education in crafts, arts and crafts, or industry. You can use the money for a study stay abroad or educational materials, for example. The fund is based in Copenhagen and has been active since 1901.

Who can apply

  • Field of study: You are studying a trade, a craft or an industrial or technical subject at an advanced level. Students of business administration (CBS) and law are not eligible to apply.
  • Alternative route: You can also apply if you are currently working or have previously worked in industry or in a production role, even if you do not have a degree.
  • Age: You are under 25.
  • Where you study: You are studying in Denmark. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
  • Grades: You have demonstrated talent and diligence throughout your training.
  • Link to Valby: You’ll have a better chance if you were born or grew up in the Valby district of Copenhagen, or have some other connection to the area. However, this is not a requirement.

How to apply

Applications are made via an online form. The deadline for applications is 15 August each year, and you can expect a reply from the beginning of September.

How realistic are your chances?

The fund awards a total of approximately 40,000 to 60,000 DKK each year, meaning that only a handful of people receive funding per round.
