Aalborg Stiftstidendes Fond - Aalborg Stiftstidende's Foundation

Aalborg Stiftstidende's Foundation scholarship

You will receive 15,000 DKK (about 2,010 EUR) as a one-off grant for a study-related stay abroad lasting from 3 to 6 months. This may take the form of an internship or a semester at a university outside Denmark. The funding comes from the ‘Aalborg Stiftstidendes Fond’ foundation, which was established by the newspaper ‘Aalborg Stiftstidende’ and is now part of the North Jutland media group NORDJYSKE Media.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at a higher education institution in the North Jutland region of Denmark: at Aalborg University, University College North Jutland, Martec, Frederikshavn Business Academy or the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg (Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium).
• Where you go: You are planning a period abroad lasting between 3 and 6 months, which will count towards your degree.
• Study progress: You have completed at least 2 years of study.
• Background: You come from North Jutland.
• Timing: Your stay abroad has not yet begun or has not yet ended by the application deadline.
• Field of study: All subjects can apply.
• First-timers only: You have not yet received any funding from this foundation.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online using the Foundation’s form, logging in with your MitID. Grants are awarded once a year; the deadline for applications is at the end of February. The Foundation’s board of trustees decides on the awards in writing and presents the grants in Aalborg in April.

How realistic are your chances?

In 2024 the foundation gave 10 grants and received close to 100 applications, so roughly 1 in 10 applicants succeeded.
