About this scholarship

What the scholarship gives you

You receive a one-off cash grant for your law or medicine studies at the University of Copenhagen. The amount is not published, and there is no fixed funding period. The money comes from a memorial fund named after a high court lawyer from Assens and his wife, Laura Andersen. The university's Scholarship Board manages it. It is part of a pooled fund, a group of smaller grants you apply for together in one application.

Who can apply

  • University: You’re studying at the University of Copenhagen.
  • Field of study: You’re studying law or medicine.
  • Grades: Your academic performance will be taken into account in the selection process.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
  • Home region (bonus): Students from Assens Municipality in Denmark get first preference. This is an advantage, not a requirement.
  • School (bonus): Students who sat their school-leaving exam at Odense Katedralskole are also preferred.

How to apply

You should apply online via the university’s intranet, KUnet, as soon as the funding opportunity is advertised. Applications in paper form will not be accepted. You are applying for the entire funding pool and not for this specific grant. Each call for applications has its own deadline.
