What you get

You get a one-off grant towards your education or further training. The amount is not fixed. The municipality sets it case by case, partly based on your financial situation. The money comes from Gentofte Municipality (Gentofte Kommune) in Denmark, which hands it out once a year. Part of the fund is reserved for two talented young women continuing their studies.

Who can apply

• Age: You are between 15 and 25 years old.
• Where you live: You have been living in the municipality of Gentofte for 5 years and are registered there at the time of applying.
• Where you study: You can use the money to study in Denmark or abroad.
• Field of study: Any topic is allowed.
• Financial need: Your income, your assets and your parents’ financial situation will be taken into account.
• Grades: You are a strong, hard-working student. You submit copies of your exam certificates.
• Applied before: You may reapply, even if you have already received this grant in the past.

How to apply

Please complete the local authority’s application form. Send it by digital post or by post, or hand it in at the Citizens’ Service Centre. The deadline is 2 November. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
