About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a grant to study economics or business administration in Denmark. The foundation determines the amount of the grant on a case-by-case basis and does not publish this information. Nor is a fixed funding period specified. The money comes from the foundation established by the businessman Holger Laage-Petersen and his wife (Danish: ‘Grosserer Holger Laage-Petersen og hustrus Fond’), a private foundation in Copenhagen. Each year, it awards around 1.11 million DKK (approximately 149,000 EUR) across all its funding areas, which include this grant. It supports both theoretical and practical commercial training.
Who can apply
- Field of study: You study a commercial or business subject: Economics (cand.polit., cand.oecon.), Business Economics (HA, cand.merc.), or Marketing, Trade and Finance at a business academy (erhvervsakademi).
- Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a university or a business school.
- Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
- Nomination: You cannot apply yourself. Your school or university must nominate you. Aarhus University, for example, nominates students for this scholarship.
How to apply
Your school or university will put you forward, so you do not need to apply directly. The application deadline is 28 February. If you have not heard from the foundation by 15 July, you have not been selected.
