Lille 2 University of Law and Health/University of Murcia - French/Spanish Master 2 double degree in New Technology Law

What this double master gives you

You will earn two Master 2 degrees in one year (60 ECTS): a French Master’s degree and a Spanish Master’s degree in the field of new technologies law. You will spend the first semester at the University of Lille in France. There, you will study the law of the digital world: data protection, electronic contracts, cybercrime, ethical hacking and digital forensics, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. You will spend the second semester at the University of Murcia in Spain, where you will study bio-law – that is, the legal and ethical frameworks surrounding biotechnology and healthcare. A monthly payment of approximately 1,240 EUR will fund your stay for the entire duration of 12 months. Lille and Murcia have been offering the programme jointly since 2010.

Who can apply

• Degree: You have obtained a Master’s degree 1 in law or an equivalent qualification.
• Languages: You must have at least B2 in French for the semester in Lille and a sufficient knowledge of Spanish for the semester in Murcia.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Places: There are only 20 places available at the Lille site, so places are highly sought-after.

How to apply

You must apply by submitting a written application portfolio: your academic CV and the relevant supporting documents. Selection is based solely on this application pack, without an interview. The application deadline is 1 June. The selection panel will assess the extent to which your career plan and academic record to date are suited to the degree programme, as well as your motivation and any relevant professional or work placement experience.

How realistic are your chances?

As there are only 20 places available and a specific profile is required (a Master’s degree in law 1 as well as proficiency in French and Spanish), the pool of eligible applicants is small. This means the pool of applicants is narrower than for open scholarships. If you clearly meet the language and qualification requirements and can demonstrate a career plan that fits this niche, your prospects are good.
