About this scholarship

Erasmus internship grant (University of Oviedo)

You will receive at least 300 EUR per month for an internship at a company or organisation in another European country. The University of Oviedo funds this through the Erasmus+ programme, in addition to any national grants from the Spanish Ministry of Education. The funding covers a period of 3 to 6 months. Your work placement will also count towards your degree: you can earn ECTS credits for it, have it recognised as an elective module, a work placement or as part of your final dissertation or thesis, and it will be listed in your Diploma Supplement (the official document accompanying your degree).

Who can apply

  • University: You are enrolled on an official degree programme at the University of Oviedo (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Engineering or PhD).
  • Nationality: You are an EU/EEA/EFTA citizen or a non-EU student at the University of Oviedo with a valid Spanish residence permit.
  • Study progress: You have completed at least half of your degree programme.
  • Where you go: You will undertake your work placement abroad in a European country. A branch of a Spanish company in another European country also counts.
  • Placement offer: You have already received confirmation from the host organisation.
  • Language: You have a basic knowledge of the host country’s language, as demonstrated by a recognised certificate (e.g. Cambridge, DELF, Goethe or TELC) or a test taken at the university’s language centre.
  • No prior aid: You have not yet received an Erasmus placement grant (or a similar European grant, such as the Leonardo da Vinci grant).

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the University of Oviedo’s mobility portal. Students who are still enrolled must apply by 1 May. Students who completed their degree in the previous year must apply by 31 August. Scholarships will be awarded in the order in which applications are received, subject to the availability of funds. It is therefore advisable to apply as early as possible.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is open exclusively to students at the University of Oviedo who already have a confirmed placement abroad. As a result, the pool of eligible applicants is small, and there will be no selection interview. Places will be allocated in the order in which applications are received, until the budget has been exhausted. Your chances are good if you meet the requirements and apply as early as possible.
