What the Incentive Plan gives you

At the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, you will receive a personalised discount on your tuition fee. This is not a cash payment. Instead of the standard fee, you will pay a lower rate per credit, which is tailored to your individual circumstances. The exact discount percentage will be confirmed once you have been accepted onto the programme and depends on how many ECTS credits you enrol for. The same percentage will apply in subsequent academic years. However, the price per credit point rises each year, roughly in line with the rate of inflation. The university offers this programme to students who, whilst having the required grades and motivation, find it difficult to finance a bachelor’s degree (Grado).

Who can apply

• Degree level: You are applying for the first year of a Bachelor’s degree programme (Grado) or for the International Foundation Programme. This does not cover a second degree.
• Field of study: Any official degree programme offered by the University of Navarra.
• Where you study: You’re studying at the University of Navarra in Pamplona.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Financial need: Your family’s per capita income for the tax year 2024 is less than 20,000 EUR.
• Grades: You had a school-leaving average of at least 7 out of 10 in the first year of your upper-secondary studies (bachillerato or equivalent), and you were in the second year during 2025-2026. Some degrees ask for a higher average.

How to apply

Applications are made as part of the standard admissions process via the university portal at miportal.unav.es. There, you enter your chosen degree programme, your family income, your school grades and your place of origin, and you will receive a personalised estimate of the costs and any discounts. There is also an anonymous cost calculator available at unav.edu/calculadora. The application deadline is 25 April.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a fixed pool with only a few scholarships available. It is an allocation system open to anyone who meets the criteria; it is therefore less about competition and more about eligibility. If your family income is actually below the threshold of 20,000 EUR per person, your school average is 7 or higher, and you are starting the first year of a ‘Grado’ degree programme, your chances are good. Carry out the cost estimate early on so that you know your reduced fee before you commit.
