IE University - PWC Scholarships for International Law Practice

Benefit

You will receive a reduction in tuition fees for the four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme at IE University in Spain (Madrid or Segovia). The exact amount is determined individually for each scholarship recipient and depends on your grades and financial needs. You will also be offered an internship at PwC and a personal mentor to guide you through the programme. A mentor is an experienced lawyer who will advise you in one-to-one meetings. The scholarship is awarded by the IE Foundation at IE University in partnership with the legal and tax consultancy firm PwC (Landwell-PricewaterhouseCoopers), which aims to attract young lawyers to its legal and tax advisory teams.

Eligibility

• Degree: You have been admitted to the English-taught Bachelor’s degree programme ‘Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)’ at IE University.
• Where you study: You are studying at IE University in Madrid or Segovia, Spain.
• Field: Law. You can specialise in international business law, human rights and social justice, or digital law and technology.
• Grades: You have an excellent academic record.
• Career goal: You are aiming for an international career in legal and tax consultancy.
• Financial need: You can prove that you need financial support.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Once you have been admitted to the LL.B. programme, you should apply using the IE student finance application form. An additional essay may be required for this scholarship. The application deadline is 30 April. Decisions are made on the basis of both your academic results and your financial need.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is subject to strict conditions. You must already have been admitted to a specific law degree programme at IE University and demonstrate both outstanding academic results and financial need. As a result, the pool of eligible applicants is small. If you clearly meet these criteria and submit a compelling essay, your chances are good. Meeting the minimum requirements does not in itself guarantee that the grant will be awarded; you should therefore place particular emphasis on your academic and professional qualifications.
