Friends of the University of Navarra Mobility Scholarship

You will receive 3,000 EUR to fund a research stay abroad lasting up to one year. The scholarship will help you to obtain the ‘Doctor Internacional’ award, a supplement to your PhD that recognises that part of your research was carried out abroad. It is awarded by the Asociación de Amigos de la Universidad de Navarra (ADA), a charitable organisation that has been supporting the university’s researchers since 1960.

Who can apply

• Level: You are a PhD student at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain.
• Status: You are enrolled as a junior research fellow (Personal Investigador en Formación, PIF). This means that you are undertaking your PhD as part of the University’s research programme.
• What you use it for: During your PhD, you will spend time abroad in order to qualify for the ‘Doctor Internacional’ award.
• Field of study: Applications are open to all research areas.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the Asociación de Amigos de la Universidad de Navarra. The deadline for applications is 28 November.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very narrowly defined. You must already be enrolled as a PhD student at this very university and be undertaking a period of study abroad as part of the international PhD programme; consequently, only a small number of people are eligible. If you clearly meet these requirements and apply by the deadline, your chances are good, as the pool of eligible candidates is small.
