About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a tuition fee discount of 25%, 50% or up to 75% on the fees for a full-time Master’s programme at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues (CEG), a private university specialising in law and economics in Alcobendas, near Madrid, Spain. The exact percentage is determined on a case-by-case basis and depends on your grades and your financial situation. With a grade point average of at least 8 out of 10, you can qualify for the full amount of 75%. The discount applies to the Master’s programme of your choice, for example in Tax Law, Financial Markets and Investment Banking, Human Resource Management, Business Law, Employment Law, International Business Law or Sports Business Management. Please note: Any discount on tuition fees exceeding 70% is considered taxable income. It is subject to tax at a rate of between 2% and 24%, depending on the amount and where you pay tax.
Who can apply
- Study level: You are in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree or have completed it within the two years prior to applying.
- Where you study: You must first successfully complete the admissions process for one of the CEG’s full-time Master’s programmes.
- Grades: You must have a grade point average of at least 8 out of 10. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Language: Good language skills, preferably in English, are an advantage.
- Financial need: Limited own funds are taken into account as an additional criterion.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- No double funding: You cannot receive another grant for the same CEG programme at the same time.
How to apply
You should submit the CEG scholarship application form together with your academic transcript, your CV and a personal statement. A scholarship committee will review each application, make decisions on a case-by-case basis and notify you in writing. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please apply early.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is available for specific Master’s programmes at a private university and requires a minimum grade point average of 8, meaning that the pool of eligible applicants is quite small. If you clearly meet the grade requirement, pass the entrance examination for the Master’s programme and can demonstrate that you need the funding, your prospects are good. As places are limited and allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, applying early is the best strategy.
