About this scholarship

What you get

Please select one of the four types of support that best suits your situation:

  • Tuition-fee grant: covers your study credits in the first and second years of your degree. For Master’s students, there is an upper limit of 450 EUR per year.
  • Housing grant: 1,300 euros for the academic year.
  • Canteen grant: One free meal a day in the university canteens.
  • Mobility or materials grant: 500 euros for travel or learning materials.

You can combine the accommodation grant with the canteen allowance, bringing your total financial support to 1,764 euros per year. Otherwise, please choose one of the two grants. The funding comes from the University of Granada’s own scholarship budget and amounts to 2,302,000 EUR for 2026/27. The grant is valid for one academic year.

Who can apply

  • University: You are enrolled on an official Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme at the University of Granada.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
  • Financial need: Your household income and assets fall within the limits set for the Spanish state student grant. For example, 14,818 EUR for a single-person household or 40,773 EUR for a four-person household.
  • No national grant: For academic reasons, you are not eligible for the scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Education. If you meet the criteria for the national scholarship, you must apply for that instead.
  • Grades: You must pass a minimum proportion of the credits you have registered for, which ranges from 40% to 70% depending on the type of funding and your degree programme.
  • Fees paid: You have already paid your tuition fees for the current academic year.
  • No higher degree: You do not yet hold a qualification at the same or a higher level, nor do you meet the entry requirements for one.
