Internship grants for teacher training in Liverpool and Texas

You will receive a grant of around 1,000 EUR for a teaching placement abroad lasting approximately 1 months. The University of Seville will place you in schools in Liverpool (United Kingdom) or Texas (United States). In addition to your teaching placement, you will take part in seminars and courses offered by the partner institution abroad. The University will also organise and cover the costs of your travel.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying to become a teacher (Educación / Magisterio) at the University of Seville.
• Study phase: You are enrolled on the teaching placement for your degree programme this academic year and are about to complete your degree.
• English: You speak English well, as the work placement, the seminars and part of the job interview are conducted in English.
• Clean record: If this option is selected, you must provide a certificate of good conduct showing that you have no criminal convictions, as required by the schools.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are teacher-training students at the University of Seville.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the International Office at the University of Seville. The deadline for applications is 5 October. A selection panel will then invite shortlisted candidates to an interview, part of which will be conducted in English. During the interview, your English language skills, your knowledge of the education system in the host country, your motivation and your academic results will be assessed.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very narrowly defined. Only teacher-training students from a specific university who are taking a specific module and have a good command of English are eligible to apply – so the pool of applicants is small. If you clearly meet these requirements and demonstrate strong academic results and genuine motivation during the interview, your chances are good. Apply by the deadline in October, as places are limited and will be allocated in a single selection round.
