About this scholarship
UPM grant for double degree students
You will receive a one-off payment of 1,200 EUR as a contribution towards your tuition fees for one year of a dual degree programme at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). A dual degree means that you will study at the UPM and a partner university in Europe and obtain degrees from both institutions. This is a one-off payment, not a monthly grant. The UPM is making 36 of these grants available to undergraduate and postgraduate students, which will be allocated across its various faculties.
Who can apply
- University: You are studying for a Bachelor’s (Grado) or Master’s degree at UPM.
- Programme: You are enrolled on a dual degree programme run in collaboration with a European partner university that has signed a cooperation agreement with UPM.
- Exchange year: You have spent at least one year abroad as part of the Erasmus exchange programme.
- Timing: You are currently in your second year of the dual degree programme this academic year.
- Field of study: Anyone interested is welcome to apply.
- Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
- Grades: Applications are assessed on the basis of academic performance, so good results will improve your chances.
How to apply
You should apply online via UPM’s electronic enrolment system and send your application to your faculty’s International Relations Office. The application deadline is 3 October. Each faculty compiles a ranking list of applicants based on their grades and forwards this list to the university, which makes the final decision.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is aimed at a narrowly defined group. You must already be a student at UPM in the second year of a specific dual degree programme with a European partner institution and have completed an Erasmus year. As a result, the pool of eligible candidates is small. Since the 36 scholarships are allocated across the various faculties at UPM, anyone who clearly meets these criteria and has an outstanding academic record stands a good chance of being successful.
