Navarra supplementary allowance for international mobility

Whilst studying abroad as part of an exchange programme, you will receive 120 EUR per month (or 30 EUR per week). The amount will be paid out once your stay has ended. The amount increases to 200 EUR per month (50 EUR per week) if you meet at least one of the specific eligibility criteria (see terms and conditions). This is a supplementary grant: it is paid on top of the amount you already receive through your Erasmus+, Palafox, ISEP or similar programme, as well as from your university. The Regional Government of Navarre (Gobierno de Navarra) pays this grant. Based on previous funding rounds, it covers a stay of up to 9 months.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at a Spanish university, either in Navarre or elsewhere in Spain.
• Where you live: You have been registered (empadronamiento) in Navarre for at least the last 2 years.
• Level: You are a Bachelor’s (Grado) or Master’s student.
• What you do abroad: During the academic year 2025–2026, you are taking part in an international exchange programme organised by a Spanish university.
• Field of study: All degree programmes are open to applicants, with the exception of those in the fields of art and music, for which there is a separate call for applications.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades: Your academic performance is taken into account when awarding grants.
• Higher rate: You will receive 200 euros per month instead of 120 euros if, in the past year, you received a general student grant, have a recognised disability of at least 33%, are part of a single-parent or extended family, your household receives the ‘Renta Garantizada’ (basic income support), you are a victim of terrorism or domestic violence, or you have refugee status.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online using the form on the programme page. For the 2025–2026 round, the application deadline was 11 May. A decision on the award will then be made. You confirm your stay by submitting the certificate of completion of your stay from your host university, whereupon the funds will be paid out.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a supplementary grant with a narrowly defined catchment area. You must have been living in Navarre for at least two years and be taking part in an exchange programme; therefore, only this group is eligible to apply. In the last full funding round, more than 400 students received funding, so this is more of a broad-based funding programme than a single, high-profile award. If you clearly meet the residency and enrolment requirements, your chances are good, and members of specific groups will also receive the higher grant amount.
