Selecta Scholarships

You will receive a one-off payment of 3,000 EUR for one academic year on a Bachelor’s degree programme at Abat Oliba CEU University (UAO CEU) in Barcelona. Two of these scholarships are awarded each year, totalling 6,000 EUR. The funding comes from a partnership between the university and the Spanish company Grupo Selecta. Provided you continue to meet the academic and financial requirements, you may renew the scholarship for the following year.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at Abat Oliba CEU University in Barcelona or are just starting your bachelor’s degree there.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Grades (continuing students): You have passed 100% of the courses you took last year, with an average mark of at least 7 out of 10.
• Grades (first-year students): You achieved an average mark of at least 7 out of 10 in the ‘Bachillerato’, the Spanish school-leaving qualification.
• Financial need: You submit your parents’ or guardians’ income tax return (IRPF) to provide evidence of your family’s financial situation.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Please submit the scholarship application form together with your parents’ or guardians’ income tax documents to the University’s Student Financial Support Office (Servei d’Ajuts a l’Estudi). The two scholarships will be awarded to the applicants with the best grades who also meet the financial eligibility criteria.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly: only UAO CEU bachelor's students qualify, and just two scholarships are given each year. The competition is real and grades decide it, since the two best academic profiles win. If you study there, clear the average of 7, and can document genuine financial need, you have a solid case. A complete, well-evidenced application counts more than the size of the field here.
