Ministry of Education specialised training scholarship

You get 1,234 EUR per month for up to 12 months, which adds up to a maximum of 14,808 EUR over the year (figures from the 2025-2026 round). The scholarship pays you to do hands-on training inside Spain's Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport in Madrid, mainly at the National Institute for Educational Evaluation (INEE). You are also registered with Spain's social security system while you hold the scholarship. Each place is tied to one work profile, for example international and national education evaluations, data analysis, layout and social media, or the Eurydice-REDIE European education network.

Who can apply

• Degree: You hold the university degree or vocational qualification listed for the profile you apply to, for example translation, English studies, education, mathematics, statistics, sociology, psychology or graphic design.
• When you graduated: You finished that qualification recently (after 1 January 2020 for the 2025-2026 round).
• Age: You are over 18.
• Nationality and residence: You are a national of Spain, another EU country or an EEA country. You also live legally in Spain when the scholarship starts.
• Spanish level: If you are not Spanish, you prove C2 Spanish (near-native).
• English for some profiles: Some profiles need certified English, for example C1 or B2, depending on the role.
• First time: You have not held one of these Ministry training scholarships before.

How to apply

You apply online through the Ministry's electronic office. Applications open when each yearly call is published in Spain's official gazette (BOE) and stay open for about three weeks. A committee scores your academic record and merits against the criteria for your chosen profile. Your grades count for at least a third of the total score.

How realistic are your chances?

Places are few and split across narrow profiles, so each profile draws only a handful of qualified candidates rather than a big crowd. If your degree and language certificates match one profile closely, your prospects are decent, because the pool for that exact role is small. Your academic record carries real weight, so strong grades and relevant certified skills make the difference.
