Abat Oliba Foundation School Grants

If you are enrolled on a Bachelor’s degree programme at Abat Oliba CEU University (UAO CEU) in Barcelona, you will receive a discount of 10% to 60% on your tuition fees. The university determines the exact amount of the discount on a case-by-case basis, based on your family’s financial situation and your academic performance. The discount applies for the entire duration of your studies, provided you renew it each year. To renew it, you must continue to provide evidence that you have attended a school run by the Fundación Abat Oliba and successfully complete all the credits you have taken that year. The funding comes from the university’s own student grant programme (PAE).

Who can apply

• Your school: You have completed the second year of the Bachillerato (the final year of Spanish upper secondary education) at Colegio Abat Oliba Loreto or Colegio Cardenal Spinola and can provide evidence that you were a pupil there.
• Where you study: You enrol at Abat Oliba CEU University in Barcelona.
• Study phase: You’re now starting your first year.
• Field of study: Any bachelor’s degree from the university.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

To begin with, submit your application via the university’s ‘Portal del Futuro Alumno’. You should then submit your application for a student grant via the CEU intranet, enclosing proof that you have attended one of the two schools.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very restricted. Only former pupils of two specific schools who subsequently enrol at the Abat Oliba CEU are eligible to apply, meaning that very few applicants are competing for the scholarship. If you have completed your Bachillerato at one of these schools and can provide proof of this, your chances are good. The size of the discount you receive will depend on your family’s financial situation and your academic performance.
