About this scholarship
Inés Luna Terrero Foundation Scholarship
You will receive 2,000 EUR for one academic year (2025–2026) to study at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA) in Spain. If your academic performance is outstanding, the foundation may increase this amount to up to 4,000 EUR. This is a one-off payment, which depends on your financial circumstances and your marks. The funds come from the Fundación Inés Luna Terrero, a Spanish foundation that provides financial support to students in Salamanca.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA) on the Salamanca campus.
- Level: You are studying for a Bachelor’s (Grado), Master’s (Máster) or PhD degree.
- Field of study: Any subject.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- Grades: Your marks are sufficient to achieve at least a ‘pass’ (aprobado). If there are a large number of applicants, a higher minimum average mark may apply.
- Financial need: The foundation assesses your income and assets, as well as those of your family; you should therefore genuinely need the support.
- Regional bonus: Not required, but you will be given priority if you or your parents are from Castile and León or have lived there in the last ten years. The highest priority is given to those from the province of Salamanca or from Vitigudino and Pozos de Hinojo.
- No double funding: You may not receive any other similar scholarship in the same academic year.
How to apply
You should submit your application to the Foundation’s office in Salamanca, either in person or by post. The submission period runs from 15 June to 3 July 2026. The University reviews the applications and makes recommendations as to who should receive funding. The Foundation’s Board makes the final decision.
How realistic are your chances?
This grant is very specific: you must be studying at a particular university in Salamanca and demonstrate financial need, so the number of people eligible is small. Furthermore, if you are from Castile and León – particularly from the province of Salamanca or the villages of Vitigudino and Pozos de Hinojo – you will be part of the priority group and have a good chance of success. Outstanding academic achievement and a well-documented application are the factors that set applicants apart from the rest.
