About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive financial support for your round-trip travel costs if you travel abroad or to another location in Spain as part of an academic activity related to your studies at the University of Lleida (UdL). There is no fixed amount per person. Under the 2025 call for applications, the total amount of 7,000 EUR will be divided amongst all eligible applicants. Your share depends on the distance of your journey, meaning that a trip to America or Asia will be weighted much more heavily than a journey within Catalonia. Your grant must not exceed the actual costs incurred for the journey, and each person is eligible for only one grant. Journeys must last longer than 10 days or longer than 40 hours to be eligible.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are enrolled on an official Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD programme at a faculty or university within the UdL during the academic year to which this call for applications relates.
  • Type of trip: Your trip is part of a funded exchange programme: AECS (student exchange in the field of health sciences), IAESTE (technical work exchange) or SICUE (exchange between Spanish universities). This also includes travel undertaken as part of your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis, an unpaid, study-related voluntary placement or a study-related collaborative project.
  • SICUE restriction: If you are travelling under the SICUE scheme, your destination must not be in the province where your family home or your usual place of residence is located.
  • Field of study: Open to all disciplines.
  • Nationality and age: Applicants of all nationalities and all ages are welcome to apply.
  • Not covered: Erasmus and Mobility UdL trips, group trips organised by UdL staff, tourism, language courses, research activities, conferences and congresses, and compulsory curricular internships do not qualify.

How to apply

Please complete the official application form and submit it via the UdL’s electronic registration system using your student login, together with your certificate of attendance and your travel ticket receipts. The deadline for the 2025 call for applications was 31 October 2025.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a limited, internal grant: you must be studying at the UdL and travelling as part of one of a small number of specific programmes, so the pool of applicants is small. As the fixed amount of 7,000 EUR is divided amongst all eligible applicants, your chances of receiving funding are good provided you clearly meet the criteria and keep your supporting documents. The individual amount may be small if there are a large number of applicants, particularly for shorter trips to nearby destinations.
