About this scholarship

What the Pérez-Llorca Scholarship gives you

You will receive a discount on your tuition fees for the English-taught Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme at IE University in Spain. The exact percentage of this funding is not disclosed. General scholarships offered by IE in the field of law have been reported to cover up to 50% of the fees. The Spanish law firm Pérez-Llorca also offers you work placements and mentoring, which is often the biggest draw. Mentoring means that an experienced lawyer will support you throughout your studies and at the start of your career. The scholarship is offered by Pérez-Llorca in collaboration with the IE Law School.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You have been admitted to the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme at IE University.
  • Field of study: For law students only. The scholarship is linked to the LL.B. degree programme and does not apply to any other degree programme.
  • Language: You are studying in English, as the LL.B. programme is taught in English.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
  • Grades: You’ve achieved excellent results at school.
  • Commitment: You can demonstrate a committed and determined approach to your studies and your work.

How to apply

You should apply for financial support via IE University’s online application form once you have been admitted to the LL.B. programme. The deadline is 30 April.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is highly selective: applicants must already have been admitted to a specific degree programme – the LL.B. at IE University – and must demonstrate outstanding academic results and a high level of commitment. This keeps the pool of eligible applicants small. However, as IE University is highly selective and the award is made attractive by the work placement and mentoring at a leading law firm, competition for a place on the shortlist is fierce. If you are a strong LL.B. candidate who can clearly demonstrate your academic excellence, your prospects are good.
