Francisco de Vitoria University - Grants for students with siblings already enrolled in the University

What you get

You get a discount on your monthly tuition instalments at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV) in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid, if one or more of your siblings study there at the same time. The discount grows with each extra sibling enrolled in the same academic year: 15% for the second sibling, 50% for the third, and 90% for the fourth and each one after that. Siblings are counted in the order your enrolment files were opened. The discount applies only to the monthly fees. It does not cover the initial enrolment fee or the deposit that reserves your place. You cannot combine it with any other UFV grant, aid or discount.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled on a bachelor’s degree programme (Grado) at the UFV.
• Your siblings: At least one sibling is studying at the UFV in the same academic year, either on a Bachelor’s degree programme, an official Master’s degree programme or at CETYS, the UFV’s vocational training department.
• Field of study: Any Bachelor’s degree subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Stage: Both new students and students already in later years can apply.

How to apply

Applications are made online. First-year students should use the ‘Portal del Candidato’, whilst students already enrolled at the UFV should use the ‘Portal Universitario’. There are two application deadlines each year: roughly from the beginning of May to the end of June, and again in the second half of July. You do not need to have completed your enrolment yet, but applications submitted outside these deadlines will not be accepted.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a scholarship awarded through a selection process, but an automatic family discount. If you and at least one sibling are enrolled at UFV in the same year and you submit your application within the specified period, you are entitled to it. The only real requirements are that a sibling is studying alongside you and that you meet the deadline; therefore, it is very likely that an eligible applicant will receive the discount.
