About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive an additional grant of 200 EUR per month for up to 10 months for your studies at a partner university outside Europe. This additional grant is awarded by the Scholarship Office at the University of Málaga. You can receive this in addition to the university’s other funding for exchange programmes outside Europe, such as the standard travel allowance and the regional grants for Latin America, North America or the Asia-Pacific region.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled at the University of Málaga for this academic year.
- Degree level: You are a student on a Bachelor’s degree programme (Grado).
- Credits so far: You have already earned at least 60 ECTS credits on the degree programme for which you are applying.
- Where you go: Your exchange will take place at a partner university abroad outside the Erasmus+ programme and will last for one semester or a full academic year.
- Field of study: Open to all subjects.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Exchange students coming to Málaga from abroad are excluded from this.
How to apply
First, you must apply for an exchange place via the call for applications for international mobility on the University’s ALGORIA platform. Places are allocated on the basis of your weighted average mark, with first-time applicants given priority over those applying again. Once you have accepted a place, you must apply for this additional funding separately via the Scholarships Office. The deadline is 31 January.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is open exclusively to students from Málaga who have already secured an exchange place outside Europe; the pool of applicants is therefore small. If you meet the 60 credit requirement and have secured your exchange place, this additional funding is simply a supplement and does not involve a separate selection process. The trickier part is securing the exchange place itself, with your grade point average and your application in the first round determining your ranking.
