About this scholarship
General Description
The University of Oxford, in collaboration with BP, offers The BP STEM Scholarships to the first-year undergraduate students who study a defined list of STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) as a single honours course. This programme supports the education and development of the next generation of engineers and scientists by building the skills and knowledge needed to work in the energy industry. There are up to ten awards available, each one will pay £5,000 per annum. As a BP scholar, student will be guaranteed an intern or graduate interview. Student will get financial support, a unique opportunity to experience first-hand what the company do, such as: using the latest technology to find oil and gas, building platforms in the ocean, developing low carbon fuels and lubricants, be invited to join BP for exclusive events and experiences and meet their graduate Challengers. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of an online application form, short online numerical and verbal tests and a face-to-face interview. All eligible students will be sent an email with information on how to apply at the start of the academic year.
Requirements
Applicants must complete an online application form, short online numerical and verbal tests, and a face-to-face interview with BP. Applicants must be EU/UK/International first-year undergraduate students who study science, technology, engineering and mathematics with good academic achievement.
