About this scholarship

What the Lloyds Scholars Programme offered

Scholarship holders received an annual cash grant of approximately 1,750 EUR (£1,500) to cover their tuition fees and living costs. This was paid for the entire duration of a three- or four-year Bachelor’s degree programme. In addition to this money, recipients also received:

  • Up to two 10-week paid work placements with Lloyds Banking Group (approx. £350 per week).
  • A personal mentor from the bank’s senior management – in other words, someone who has advised and supported you.
  • A mentor from the bank’s young talent programme.
  • Workshops to build job skills.

After graduating, you were able to apply for the ‘Lloyds Graduate Leadership Programme’. The Lloyds Banking Group ran this programme to give pupils from low-income households access to the best British universities and to help them make a smooth transition into working life. In return, you undertook to volunteer for at least 100 hours a year and to promote the programme in schools in deprived areas.
