School of Humanities Scholarship (University of Dundee)

You will receive a one-off grant of approximately 4,600 EUR as a reduction on your tuition fees for one year in the humanities at the University of Dundee in Scotland. The term ‘humanities’ here covers subjects such as history, English, philosophy, modern languages, film studies and creative writing. This is a partial reduction in tuition fees, meaning that the amount you have to pay is reduced, rather than you receiving cash to cover your living costs.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You have been offered a place on a humanities degree programme at the University of Dundee.
• Field of study: You are studying a subject in the humanities, such as history, English, philosophy, languages, film studies or creative writing.
• Nationality: Open to applicants of all nationalities.
• Grades: You’ve achieved excellent results at school.

How to apply

You should apply via the University of Dundee’s scholarship portal as soon as you have received an offer of a place on your course. The application deadlines are 13 April, 1 July and 15 November. Please check which application round corresponds to your planned start date.

How realistic are your chances?

As this funding is tied to a specific subject area and a particular university, far fewer people can apply than for open, global scholarships. If you have already been offered a place on a humanities degree programme in Dundee and have good grades, your chances are quite good. As this is more of a partial fee waiver than full funding, there are also fewer applicants, and applying in an early round is advantageous.
