About this scholarship
Region Grand Est international mobility grant
You got a one-off grant of 200 EUR to 800 EUR for a study period or internship abroad that counted towards your degree. It was paid by the Grand Est region in eastern France. The amount depended on the type and length of your trip:
- 500 EUR for a study stay of at least 16 weeks
- 400 EUR for a short internship of 12 to 15 weeks
- 800 EUR for a long internship of at least 16 weeks
- 200 EUR for a shorter internship if you were in a BTS, DUT or DNMADE programme
You could add 200 EUR if you held a CROUS grant (France's state student aid) and 100 EUR if you went to a neighbouring country (Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg or Switzerland). The total could reach 1,100 EUR.
Who could apply
- University: You were enrolled at a higher education institution in the Grand Est region.
- Study level: You were in a BTS, DUT or DNMADE, or in your 3rd, 4th or 5th year after the Bac, in a degree or officially certified programme. First and second year students did not qualify, unless in a BTS, DUT or DNMADE.
- Where you go: Your study period or internship had to be abroad and count towards your diploma. Trips within France and language-only stays did not qualify.
- Age: You were 29 or younger at the start of the trip.
- Rent: You paid rent abroad for the whole stay and did not keep living in France.
- Earnings limit: Any pay or internship allowance was under 700 EUR per month.
- Nationality: Any nationality could apply. If you were a foreign student, you could not use the grant to travel back to your own home country.
How to apply
You applied through the region's online portal before the first day of your trip abroad.
Please note: This programme closed on 14 November 2025 for all trips starting from 1 January 2026. The region plans new rules for the 2026-2027 academic year, to be voted on in October 2026. Until then, no applications are accepted. Once the new rules are decided, details should appear on the region's website or from your institution's international office.
