Ernesti Riesan säätiö - Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a grant to help fund a project focusing on internationalisation, setting up a business or developing leadership skills. Typical examples include a student exchange abroad, an idea for a youth entrepreneurship project or an event that provides other students with international experience. The foundation does not specify a fixed amount. The board decides on a case-by-case basis. The Ernesti-Riesa Foundation (Ernesti Riesan säätiö), which was founded in 2010 by the student organisation AIESEC in Tampere, awards these grants every year.

Eligibility

• Who you are: You are studying at a university or university of applied sciences in the Pirkanmaa region of Finland. Recent graduates and organisations operating in Pirkanmaa are also eligible to apply.
• Where you are based: You or your group must be active in the Pirkanmaa region.
• Field of study: All topics are open. Your project must relate to one of the following topics: ‘Internationalisation’, ‘Entrepreneurship’ or ‘Leadership’.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• What gets priority: Projects that benefit the wider student community are preferred. The board may still support a single student's exchange abroad.

How to apply

Download the application form from the Foundation’s website, complete it and send it by email. The Board meets twice a year. Please submit your application by 31 December for the January/February round, or by 31 July for the August/September round. You may apply at any time; however, if you apply outside these deadlines, you should expect a waiting period of 2 to 6 months before a decision is made.
