Fund for Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Helsinki - Scholarship

Grant from the University of Helsinki's maths and science fund

You will receive a sum of one-off payment of 1,000 EUR. This is a one-off payment, not a monthly scholarship, and you must spend the money within three years of the date of approval. Every year, the University of Helsinki awards 15 such grants from its donation-funded fund for mathematics and natural sciences.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at the University of Helsinki.
• Level: You are a Bachelor’s student. Some scholarships are aimed at students who have just started their degree, whilst others are aimed at those who already hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Subject: You are studying a subject in mathematics or the natural sciences.
• Grades and progress: You have strong results and earn around 55 credits per academic year.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at the University of Helsinki.

How to apply

Apply via the University of Helsinki’s funding portal and include a summary of the credits you have already earned. The application period begins in mid-January and ends on 6 February. Please submit the final version, not a draft. Decisions will be made by the end of April, and every applicant will be informed of the outcome.
