Huoltaja-säätiö - Scholarship

Benefit

You receive a research grant from the Huoltaja Foundation (in Finnish, Huoltaja-säätiö), a Finnish foundation in Helsinki. It funds research into social welfare (in Finnish, sosiaalihuolto, the public services that help people in difficult life situations) and closely related fields. The goal is to build knowledge for people working in the social sector. The sources do not state a fixed amount or funding period.

Eligibility

• What you research: Your work is about social welfare or a closely related field. Work outside this area is not funded.
• Level of work: The grant is for research above master's level. It is not given for a master's thesis (in Finnish, a pro gradu) or any lower-level thesis. A licentiate or doctoral thesis qualifies.
• Nationality: Anyone can apply, regardless of nationality.

How to apply

You send a free-form application to the foundation's office by email or post. The foundation's board decides who is funded.
