You will receive up to 1,500 EUR for a trip to attend an international scientific conference abroad. This amount covers travel and accommodation costs only. Daily allowances and the conference registration fee are not included. The maximum amount depends on the destination. The grant is provided by the ‘Suomalainen Konkordia-liitto’ (Finnish Concordia Fund), an organisation that promotes the studies and academic careers of Finnish women.

  • Who you are: You are a woman working on your PhD in Finland.
  • Citizenship: You are a Finnish citizen.
  • Field of study: Any scientific discipline.
  • Your role at the congress: You are giving a talk or have another agreed-upon task. You must attach an invitation confirming this.
  • Timing: Your trip will take place between April and December of the year in which you apply.
  • Not covered: The scholarship does not cover research stays abroad or travel associated with postdoctoral work.

How to apply

You must apply between 2 and 31 January via the association’s online funding system.
