Kurt and Doris Palander Foundation research grant

You are receiving a one-year research grant grant for medical research. These funds will be used to finance your work, primarily in the field of cardiovascular diseases (heart and blood vessels) and cancer, although other clinical or theoretical medical research projects will also be supported. The funding comes from the ‘Kurt and Doris Palander Fund’ for medical research and the ‘Einar and Karin Stroem Foundation’. The ‘Finska Läkaresällskapet’ (Finnish Medical Society) is responsible for administering the funds.

Who can apply

• Your background: You are a researcher with a medical degree.
• Research field: You carry out medical research. The focus is on cardiovascular diseases and cancer, but other medical specialisms may also be relevant.
• Language: You should write all your documents, including your CV, in Swedish.
• Supervisor's reference: If you have not yet completed your PhD, you will need a written recommendation from your supervisor in Swedish.
• Membership: You do not need to be a member of the Finnish Medical Society.

Please apply by 15 September via the organisation’s online application system. Your application must include a research proposal of no more than four pages, a CV and a list of your publications.
