About this scholarship

What PRAME gives you

You will receive 125 EUR for every full week for a compulsory work placement abroad, up to a maximum of 2,500 EUR per academic year. A full week comprises 7 consecutive days, including the weekend. You may also apply for a one-off grant of 200 EUR towards visa costs, as well as an additional 400 EUR if you have a disability. The funding comes from the Sud region in France (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur). It is intended to support students who are undertaking an internship outside France as part of their studies.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are enrolled at a higher education institution in the Sud region that is a PRAME partner, and are either following a standard degree programme or a work-study programme (apprenticeship) there.
  • Where you go: Your work placement will take place abroad, in any country other than France (including its overseas territories), Andorra and Monaco.
  • Length: The work placement lasts for at least 8 weeks, counts towards your 2025/2026 academic year and ends no later than 31 December 2026.
  • Age: It is 31 December 2025 and you are at 30.
  • Residence: Your tax residence is in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
  • Income limit: Your family quotient is no more than 26,000 EUR. This corresponds to your household’s total income divided by the number of tax shares, as stated in tax assessment notice 2025 relating to income 2024.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, but must not be nationals of the country in which the work placement takes place.
  • No double funding: You will not receive either Erasmus+ or PRAME Études for the same year, nor any other funding for international mobility. Your internship allowance will not exceed 200 EUR per week.

How to apply

You must apply online via the regional platform no later than 15 days before the start of your work placement. First, ask your organisation for a login code; your organisation will then review your documents before the regional office assesses them. The budget for 2025/2026 has already been exhausted and the platform is closed. It is expected to reopen for the year 2026/2027.

How realistic are your chances?

The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are very strict. You must be studying at a partner university in a French region, be resident for tax purposes in that region, not exceed the income threshold, and be undertaking a recognised work placement abroad. As a result, the pool of eligible candidates is small. The catch is the budget, which runs out every year. You should therefore apply as soon as the next application round opens, and well in advance of your departure.
