CampusMouv'86 Scholarship

You will receive between 200 EUR per month and 10 months to fund a semester of study or a compulsory work placement abroad. The funding comes from the Vienne department (department 86) in France. This department organises the programme to help its own students gain experience abroad as part of their studies. Your stay must take place at one of the 10 destinations specified by the department. In recent years, these have included Germany, China and Canada.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at the University of Poitiers or another higher education institution in the Vienne department.
• Where you go: Your period abroad is a semester of study or a compulsory work placement that counts towards your degree, and takes place at one of the 10 destinations offered by the department.
• Age: You will be between 18 and 25 years old during your stay abroad.
• Home: Your household (your own or your parents’s) pays tax in the department of Vienne.
• Income: Your taxable household income is no more than 33,100 EUR.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying in Vienna and meet the residence requirements.
• Backing: Your home institution has recommended you, and you meet its academic requirements. You must already have a signed agreement with the host institution abroad.

How to apply

Download the application form from the Vienne Department’s website. Submit the complete set of documents together with your signed host agreement. There is no fixed annual deadline. You may submit your application at any time, but no later than one month before your departure.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is very strictly defined. You must be studying in the Vienne department, meet an income threshold and be attending one of the 10 specified institutions, meaning that the number of eligible applicants is small. In the year 2023, the department supported around 34 students, so places are limited, but not in short supply for those who meet the criteria. If you clearly meet the conditions, have signed your enrolment agreement and apply at least one month in advance, your chances are good.
