SFEndocrino-French Endocrinology Society/IPSEN - Master Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive 41,000 EUR to fund a full year of a research-oriented Master’s programme 2 in the field of endocrinology, that is, the study of hormones and glands. The grant covers your research year, including a placement in a laboratory or clinical department, as well as a research project on an endocrinology-related topic. It will be paid to your host institution to cover your salary and social security contributions. The scholarship is awarded by the Société Française d’Endocrinologie (SFE), the French Society of Endocrinology, which awards one scholarship each year. The winner will be announced at the SFE Annual Congress in Bordeaux (from 7 to 9 October 2026) and will receive a lump-sum travel allowance to cover the cost of attending.

Eligibility

• Your profile: You are a junior doctor, doctor or pharmacist and do not yet have a permanent post.
• Study phase: You are enrolled on a research Master’s degree 2 or are about to enrol.
• Field: Your research project focuses on a topic in endocrinology.
• Membership: You are an SFE member and paid the membership fee of 2026 when you applied. Your academic supervisor must also be an SFE member and must have paid the membership fees of 2025 and 2026.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Where you study: Any institution.

How to apply

Download the application form (fiche de candidature), complete it and submit it as a single document via the SFE online form. The deadline for applications is midnight on 27 April 2026. A panel of ten researchers and clinicians will assess all applications.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding scheme is very restrictive. You must have a medical or pharmaceutical background, a research master’s degree 2 in endocrinology, and valid SFE membership for both yourself and your supervisor, meaning that the pool of eligible applicants is small. As only one scholarship is awarded each year, competition is extremely fierce. If you clearly meet the criteria and can present a strong, clearly defined research project, your prospects are good.
