What you get

You will receive a discount on the tuition fees for the EMLYON International MBA in Lyon, France. The total fee is 49,500 EUR, and the discount amounts to up to about 21,610 EUR. There are three options. The Excellence Scholarship reduces the fee by 30% if your GMAT Focus score is at least 595. The Early Bird Scholarship reduces it by 20% if you enrol before the university’s early application deadline. The individual scholarship offers up to 30%, depending on your background, social diversity and academic achievements. These grants cannot be combined. You will receive the grant that applies to you. EMLYON is a state-recognised French business school ranked 4 in the French MBA programme rankings (Financial Times 2026), and the tuition fees include a lifetime alumni membership.

Who can apply

• Programme: You have been admitted to EMLYON’s International MBA, which is taught in English in Lyon. The discount applies exclusively to this programme.
• Degree: You must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Work experience: You have at least 3 years’ professional experience.
• Test scores: You must submit a GMAT, GRE or TAGE MAGE result. To be eligible for the Excellence Scholarship, you must achieve a GMAT Focus score of at least 595.
• English: You can demonstrate your English language skills through TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge CPE or PTE.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

You apply for the MBA online by submitting your CV, your qualifications, academic transcripts, test results and two letters of recommendation. You will then sit a digital test and, if necessary, attend an interview. Once you have been admitted, the ‘Excellence’ and ‘Early Bird’ discounts will be applied automatically, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. The individual scholarship is awarded upon application. The ‘Early-Bird’ discount depends on the university’s application deadline; please therefore check with EMLYON directly for the current deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

Guaranteed scholarships are the most predictable. If you clearly meet a specified requirement – such as the GMAT Focus score of 595 for the ‘Excellence’ scholarship – you will receive the discount automatically. The individual scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the admissions panel and is more competitive, as your background is compared with that of other applicants. Your first hurdle is gaining admission to a top-ranked, selective MBA programme. If you clear this hurdle and meet a guaranteed criterion, your prospects look good.
