Merit scholarships at HEC Paris

You will receive a grant of tuition reduction of up to 15,000 EUR towards a Master’s degree at HEC Paris in France. The grant reduces your tuition fees. It is not paid out in cash. HEC Paris is a business school near Paris. The full two-year ‘Management’ Master’s programme costs around 57,700 EUR, so this grant covers a significant proportion of these costs. There are several merit-based scholarships available, including a general excellence scholarship and a scholarship for promising female students, each worth up to 15,000 EUR. The decision will be based on your grades, your application, your interview and your GMAT, GRE or TAGE-MAGE test results.

Who can apply

• Admission: You have been admitted to a Master’s programme at HEC Paris, such as the Master in Management or an MSc.
• Field of study: You’re studying Business Administration or Management at HEC Paris.
• Your prior degree: You obtained your bachelor’s or master’s degree outside France.
• Nationality: All nationals are eligible to apply for general merit-based scholarships. Some scholarships are aimed at specific target groups, such as female applicants or elite athletes.
• Your profile: You have excellent grades, a compelling application, have performed well in the interview and have a solid GMAT, GRE or TAGE-MAGE score.

How to apply

You do not need to submit a separate application for merit-based scholarships. Once you have been admitted to a Master’s programme at HEC Paris via the online application portal, you will automatically be considered for these scholarships. You will usually be notified of the result by email within a week of receiving your offer of admission.

How realistic are your chances?

Every admitted student is automatically considered, so the real hurdle is getting accepted into HEC Paris in the first place, as the selection process there is very rigorous. If your grades, application and test results are good enough to secure a place, you are already among the candidates eligible for these scholarships. The amount of the scholarship depends on how impressive your profile is.
