About this grant / loan
What you get
You will receive 200 to 800 EUR per project to carry out your first project in Rennes or based in Rennes. The project may be of a cultural, social, sporting, artistic, economic or scientific nature, or may involve a trip abroad. You must start it within 6 months of the jury’s decision and complete it within 18 months. Before you apply, the team can help you develop your project, plan your budget and organise your work. In return, you will present your completed project to the public in Rennes and acknowledge the support provided by the fund. The City of Rennes finances the fund, and the youth information association ‘le 4bis-Info Jeunes’ manages it.
Who can apply
- Age: On the day you submit your application, you will be between 15 and 25 years old. If you are younger than 18, you will need your parents’ consent.
- Where you live: You live in Rennes. If you are applying as a group, the lead project manager must live in Rennes and at least half of the group must also live there.
- Your own idea: It’s your first project, and you’re leading it yourself. All areas of expertise are welcome.
- Not for studies: Is your project something other than a degree course, an internship, a training programme or a research project? If so, it may be eligible. Holidays or leisure trips that are not linked to a genuine project do not count.
- Not yet done or funded: Your project has not yet been completed and will not receive any further funding from the City of Rennes.
- Associations: Projects carried out by associations are excluded. Newly formed associations and student societies whose executive committee changes every year may nevertheless apply.
How to apply
Download the application form or collect it from the Café à Projets at le 4bis in Rennes. Submit it by email or in person. There are 3 application rounds per year, in March, June and November. The next application deadline is 6 November 2026. You will then present your project in person to a panel comprising representatives from local organisations and former award winners.
How realistic are your chances?
Each year, the fund supports between 50 and 70 projects as part of its 3 funding rounds.
