About this scholarship
Benefit
ESSCA School of Management is a private French business school. Its main campus is in Angers, with further campuses in Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Lyon, Paris and Strasbourg, as well as in Budapest, Luxembourg, Málaga and Shanghai. ESSCA sets tuition fees according to a sliding scale based on your family’s income. There are 13 fee bands. Depending on your circumstances, the annual fee for the ‘Grande École’ programme (ESSCA’s flagship five-year management course) can range from the full price down to zero. If your family’s income quotient (monthly per capita income) is below 400 EUR, you will study free of charge. The university also covers the full cost of tuition fees for students from countries affected by conflict.
Eligibility
- Where you study: You are enrolled at ESSCA on the Grande École programme or on the international Bachelor’s degree programme in ‘Management’.
- Which years count: The reduced fees apply to new students in their first year of study. They apply for the first three years at a Grande École or for the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree programme.
- Financial need: The lower your family’s income is, the more you save.
- Field of study: Any module from ESSCA’s management degree programmes.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Tuition fees will be covered in full for students from conflict-affected countries.
How realistic are your chances?
This is not a fixed cash prize, but a waiver of tuition fees, the amount of which depends on your family’s income. If you are a new ESSCA student and your family is on a low income, you are automatically entitled to a reduction in tuition fees, which can range up to a full waiver if your income falls below the threshold of 400 EUR. As this support depends on enrolment and income rather than a competitive selection process, your chances depend on whether your family circumstances fall within the relevant income brackets.
