What you get

The Universita Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) in Ancona, Italy, is awarding several different scholarships for the academic year 2026/2027. Each scholarship has its own value and its own conditions, so you can choose the one that best suits your situation:

• The three largest programmes each offer 40 grants of 2,000 EUR gross per year to first-year students.
• A national exchange grant of 500 EUR per month.
• A rent allowance for students who do not live at home.
• A one-off 3,200 EUR grant for pupils who have lost a parent to a violent crime.
• A regional research grant of 1,000 EUR per month.

Who can apply

• New master's students: 2,000 EUR per year if you are enrolling for the first time in the first year of an open-access Master’s degree programme (‘laurea magistrale’) at UNIVPM. You must have a bachelor’s degree with a mark of at least 90 out of 110, as well as a valid ISEE 2026 (the Italian income and assets certificate).
• New bachelor's students: 2,000 euros per year if you are enrolling for the first time on an open-access Bachelor’s degree programme at UNIVPM, and can demonstrate a final grade of at least 80 out of 100 and a valid ISEE score of 2026.
• Women in STEM: 2,000 EUR per year, renewable for up to 3 years, if you are a woman enrolling for the first time on one of the bachelor’s degree programmes offered by UNIVPM in the fields of engineering or natural sciences (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences and others). You must have a school grade of at least 80 out of 100 and a valid ISEE score of 2026.
• National exchange ("Erasmus italiano"): 500 EUR per month for a stay of 3 to 6 months at an Italian partner university (e.g. Camerino, Perugia, Trento or Parma). You must be enrolled as a full-time student at UNIVPM in the 2025/2026 academic year, have an ISEE of 50,000 EUR or less, and have no outstanding tuition fees.
• Rent subsidy: a grant towards your 2026 rent, provided that you were enrolled at UNIVPM in the academic year 2025/2026, live outside your place of study, live in rented accommodation with a registered tenancy agreement, and have an ISEE of 20,000 EUR or less.
• Orphans of violent crime: to 3,200 A one-off grant of EUR if you have lost a parent as a result of one of the violent crimes listed in the call for applications and have passed at least one third of the annual examinations on your degree programme.
• Marche research grant: 1,000 euros per month for 12 months if you are an unemployed university graduate under the 36 scheme, live in the Marche region and are working on a project run by a local organisation.

How to apply

To apply for the university scholarships, please use the UNIVPM online portal under ‘Iniziative’ or ‘Bandi di mobilita’. The three programmes, worth 2,000 EUR, begin on 15 July and end on 17 November 2026. The application deadline for the exchange scholarship and the rent allowance is 3 August 2026. The regional research scholarship has a short application window from 3 July to 3 August 2026. The orphan’s grant must be submitted to the prefecture of your home province by 28 February 2027, not to the university.

How realistic are your chances?

Each funding programme forms its own pool; your chances therefore depend on which one you are eligible for. The 40 scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s and STEM degree programmes are open to all new students at UNIVPM who achieve the required minimum mark. Good school or Bachelor’s grades, as well as applying early, are therefore advantageous. The more narrowly targeted funding programmes (for women studying STEM subjects, orphans, or the Marche Research Scholarship) are aimed at a much smaller group of applicants; if you clearly meet these criteria, competition is therefore low.
