Bath Global Excellence Scholarship

You get £10,000 (about 11,700 EUR) off your tuition fees for a full-time taught master's course at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. A taught master's is a one-year postgraduate degree built around lectures and coursework rather than research. You do not receive the money as cash. It is deducted directly from your tuition fees. The University of Bath offers up to 250 of these awards and picks winners on academic results.

Who can apply

• Nationality: You are an international student, meaning you pay the overseas tuition rate rather than the UK home rate.
• Offer needed: You already hold an offer from Bath for a full-time taught master's starting in September.
• Field of study: Your course sits in the Faculty of Engineering & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences, or Science. School of Management courses have their own separate scholarships and are not covered here.
• Grades: You have strong academic results.

How to apply

First secure your course offer. Then complete the scholarship form through the university's Application Tracker system, where you answer three questions. There are three application rounds per intake. The earliest deadline is in early February, and you get a decision within a few weeks of each round.

How realistic are your chances?

With up to 250 awards across three faculties, there are more places here than with a single high-profile scholarship. Selection rests on academic results, so strong grades decide it. Applying in an early round helps, since places are limited and decisions come out round by round.
