About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a 20% cut on your international tuition fee for your 20% cut on your international tuition fee, 3 and 4 academic years at the University of Glasgow. This covers two years of reduced tuition fees. The discount is offered by the School of Computing Science and the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. If you perform well in your 3 and 4 years, you may be able to progress to a longer MSci or MEng programme.

Who can apply

  • Where you start: You have completed your first two years of study at our partner university, KMITL in Bangkok, as part of a recognised international degree programme.
  • Where you go: You have been offered a confirmed place on the BSc in Software Engineering or the BEng in Biomedical Engineering programme in Glasgow for the 3 academic year.
  • Field of study: Only these two degree programmes are under consideration: Software Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Nationality: You’re joining us via our partner university in Thailand, KMITL.
  • Other funding: This discount cannot be combined with other University of Glasgow discounts or external funding schemes, with the exception of the alumni discount. If you are eligible for more than one discount, you will receive the one with the higher value.

How to apply

No separate application is required. Once you have enrolled, the discount of 20% will be automatically applied to your fees. You will then receive a message explaining how this discount is applied.

How realistic are your chances?

This discount is linked to a specific degree programme. You must transfer from the partner college in Bangkok to a specifically named degree programme in engineering or computer science in Glasgow. If you choose this route and have confirmed your place for the year 3, the discount will apply automatically, so you do not need to do anything extra to qualify. The real challenge is securing your place in Glasgow, not the scholarship.
